Kerri Russell, founder of Meridian Learning NW, is a certified teacher with 24 years of teaching experience working with children of all ages and abilities, especially those with complex educational and medical needs, having spent most of her career teaching in pediatric hospitals. She holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education for ages 3-21, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education for grades Kindergarten to 8th. She understands the barriers children can face and provides resources on ways to support, guide and shift a common way of thinking about education to exploring what else is possible. Kerri tailors her sessions to meet the needs and preferences of the child and parents. Together they explore children’s natural gifts and talents, helping to introduce or further develop mindfulness/meditation practices and teach study and organizational strategies. Kerri will also guide parents on how to best communicate with schools and to support their child educationally.
