Root Wisdom, Women’s Pelvic Health workshop

Take a deep dive into a comprehensive, holistic approach to female pelvic health at all stages and seasons of life, from menarche through menopause and beyond. We’ll be partnering with Mendwell Pelvic Health for this in depth workshop. Together in community, our exploration will include the anatomy of the female pelvis and pelvic floor from a western medical and traditional yoga perspective, and an exploration of the physical, energetic, and philosophical perspectives on this topic.

Practices will include breath-centered movement to balance and build awareness of pelvic structures, as well as specific poses to deepen awareness, stretch and strengthen different parts of the pelvic floor. In addition, this multi-dimensional yoga approach will incorporate sound, mudras (hand positions to support energetic balance) and Yoga Nidra for deepening awareness. Along the way we’ll examine adaptations and specific strategies for supporting the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, prolapse, incontinence, PCOS, endometriosis, and more.
