Ethics of Touch:

CEU Hours completed:  4.  Fulfills the new requirement starting this year for ethics.

Class limit: 25

Class Description:  Massage offers a unique opportunity for healthy touch that can be more expanded than what a client may be used to.  This class will give participants encouragement and ideas they can use in practice immediately.  Passive strategies such as paperwork, body-language and environment will be discussed.  Active strategies such as what conversations to have with clients before, during or after a session as well as what to do in difficult situations will also be addressed.  Ethics and professional boundaries have an integral role in a client’s ability to heal.  Having healthy boundaries firmly in place provides an environment that can reduce ambiguity that people new to bodywork may experience.

Dr Darter-SaundersWhat to bring: a notepad and pens if desired.  Notes with the material covered will be handed out in paper or digital format.
